Latin America Association Food Drive

We went and we conquered! The interns, Lucca Reymar, Christina Corser, Udi Gitau, and I had the incredible opportunity to volunteer at the Latin American Association (LAA) food drive. Founded in 1972, the LAA is renowned for offering a variety of essential resources such as job training, immigration services, adult education, and much more to those seeking asylum or in need of additional support.

During our volunteer day, we engaged in a range of activities—from organizing documents for their various programs to stocking the food pantry. It was a heartwarming experience, knowing that our efforts could make a tangible difference. We learned about the significant number of people struggling with food security and were able to help by distributing food bags to families in need.

Our day at the LAA was not just about giving back; it was also about gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by many in our community. It was truly rewarding to see the positive impact of our contributions and to be part of an organization dedicated to helping others thrive.
