Global Outreach: Mexico

This quarter, we highlight the exceptional work of our Interra Mexico team, who recently undertook a significant community outreach initiative in the heart of Monterrey. In a gesture of goodwill, the team managed to deliver a remarkable 71 sandwich combinations to the families of patients at the Hospital General de Zona #33, a pivotal healthcare institution in Monterrey City center. These meals provided not only nutrition but also a sense of care and community for those already burdened by the challenges their loved ones face in the hospital.

For those who might not know, Hospital General de Zona #33 is not just any medical facility. Situated in the bustling heart of Monterrey, it is one of the city’s largest hospitals. But its importance isn’t just in its size; it’s in the lifeline it provides. Many of the patients come from remote rural areas, traveling great distances with limited resources, seeking advanced medical attention that their localities lack. The families, while waiting, often have to manage with minimal amenities and, in some instances, might go without proper meals.

Our Mexico team saw an opportunity to make a difference. In collaboration with the leadership from the Atlanta office, and with the spirit of togetherness, they managed to bring a smile and some comfort to these families. Community outreach programs like this remind us of the difference we can make when we come together as a team. And more importantly, it reaffirms our commitment to being anorganization that truly cares for the community it operates within.
